We Have a Winner! Student’s Photo Voted #1 in 3rd Annual Photo Contest

Following four days of heavy traffic on the Fly Cozumel website, the votes have been counted and…

WE HAVE A WINNER!

825 voters took to the internet to place their click for their favorite photo of Cozumel.

Closing out on midnight, the final tally proved to be a nail-biter.

So much so, in fact, that just four votes separated first from second place.

On Monday morning, however, the dice had been rolled and a winner chosen.

Yes, it’s final, folks.

It’s our pleasure to congratulate Juan Esteban Gutierrez Cisneros, a sophomore at Julia Ambros High School.

Juan is a hobby photography who likes to take close up pictures of things like food and flowers.

Although he studies photography at school, he has yet to purchase his own camera.

Asked about his experience, Juancho as he is effectively known by friends and family, commented that, “It was an incredible experience.”

“I’m used to taking close-ups, so to be up in the sky taking pictures was really drastic and fascinating.”

He did try to stay up to see the final tally. However, as the clock struck midnight Juancho was already in bed fast asleep.

He woke up to the news of his victory.

3rd Annual Photo Contest Prizes

Fly Cozumel and Cozumel4You are presenting the winner with one shared prize and one special prize just for Juancho.

As a thank you to all students who participated, the four photography lovers will take a joint flight to visit the Sian Ka’an Biosphere by plane.

Juancho, however, gets a special prize all to himself.

Flo Serfati of Serfati Photography fame will provide Juancho with his very own photo seminar “From Preparing a Shot To the Final Image” which includes a personal landscape photo session followed by one hour of a photo editing tutorial.

CONGRATULATIONS JUANCHO AND THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED AND MADE THIS POSSIBLE!

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!
